Hi everyone! My name is Ella and I’m a Bachelor of Arts student at The University of Melbourne, majoring in Psychology and Art History. Since graduating high school I have loved tutoring VCE students of all abilities in a range of subjects. I have a passion for reading and hope to pass on my enthusiasm about English to my students. Emma Barrett - ATAR 99.50

My name is Emma, and I am a tutor with over two years of experience. I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, double-majoring in Criminology and Creative Writing. I’m passionate about reading, writing and editing, and I bring my life-long love of literature and learning into my tutoring sessions. I strive to create a positive and engaging environment where my students are supported in working towards their unique learning goals. In my spare time, I enjoy sewing, crocheting and cooking

Sofie Wilcox

English [45], Legal Studies [45], HHD [45]

My name is Sofie Wilcox and I’m a third year student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Psychology and Sociology. I have been tutoring VCE English and Psychology for almost 5 years, have published a study guide, curated a statewide curriculum for Year 10 English and have given holiday lectures to over 200 students. I have a deep passion for education and assisting students to reach goals along their academic journey. Being able to have the support of a tutor allowed me to excel in my studies, as I was the recipient of the LaTrobe Law School Excellence Award for being DUX of VCE Legal Studies two years in a row. One of my key values is compassion, and with my studies in Adolescent Psychology and volunteering at Lifeline, I take extra time and care with each student to check in with how they are feeling, particularly around exam time that is often riddled with stress.

While I don’t have significant tutoring experience, I’ve worked along with other talented tutors, such as Lindsey, so I believe I can help students improve significantly in their EAL studies.

Hi everyone! My name is Asal Mohajeri and I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Psychology. I love to see my students feel confident in their subjects and abilities, and I would be so grateful to be a part of your VCE journey!

Khue Nguyen- ATAR 98.05

Hi, my name is Khue Nguyen! I am a third-year Bachelor of Commerce student at The University of Melbourne. I graduated VCE in 2019 with a 98.05 ATAR and a raw 48 for EAL, so I am confident that I know what I’m talking about when I’m teaching (hopefully)! Aside from tutoring, I love joining community service projects, photography, and analysing Korean dramas the way you would a literature piece. I enjoy talking to students and help them in any way I can (especially knowing how it feels in VCE), so feel free to message me if you have any concerns!

Giorgia Benini - ATAR 98.70

Literature [41], Italian [50], Media [44]
Hi! My name is Giorgia and I am currently studying the Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University, majoring in History with Literature electives. I graduated in 2018 with an ATAR of 98.7 and I’m currently working towards a career in secondary teaching. I love writing and being able to merge my passions for literature, the social sciences, film studies and history, and hope to render this knowledge useful to anyone struggling with VCE. Essays can seem like big scary monsters at first but I firmly believe everyone has the potential to write something they can truly be proud of!
