About

Hi everyone! My name is Reuben and I'm a PhD candidate in Australian Literature at Monash University, where I've taught Literary Studies since 2021. I'm also a freelance literary critic with publications in Meanjin, The Age, The Conversation, and Antipodes. In 2024, I was awarded an Emerging Critics Fellowship with Sydney Review of Books. My love of literature extends across many forms and genres, but I am particularly interested in difficult and experimental writing. One of the many aspects of teaching I love is introducing students to books they may never have encountered before! For me, teaching is a natural extension of my writing and reading, so I can't wait to get started with you.
